2025 Auditions

We appreciate your interest in auditioning for a show at the Greenwood Community Theatre!

GCT holds open auditions for anyone in the community who is interested in participating in a show. Auditions are typically held 2-3 MONTHS before the show opens. No experience is necessary to audition, and all roles are available unless noted in the casting notice.

AUDITION INFO

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in. PLEASE complete the digital paperwork linked below before the night of the Auditions.

  • LATECOMERS ARE NOT GUARANTEED A CHANCE TO AUDITION!

  • All are welcomed and encouraged at GCT.

  • All audition materials will be provided, and no acting experience is required.

  • Familiarizing yourself with the story, its characters, and the music is always suggested and encouraged (YouTube is a great source).

  • Auditionees will be asked to dance and sing a short selection from the show.

  • Rehearsals will be mostly on weeknights, Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons.

  • Limited roles for children, those cast will need to stay engaged and focused for the entire show as they rarely leave the stage. Sometimes, they will be an onstage audience and must remain focused and not distract from the main action. We will do our best not to keep the younger cast members late, but there will be late nights as we get closer to opening and during tech week and performances.
